A goodly number of halls in the Masonic Province of Tyrone and Fermanagh have now acquired AED's [Automated External Defibrillators]. The photograph shows some of the brethren who attended a training session run by the British Red Cross Society in the Omagh Hall on 28 September 2015 receiving certificates. The session in Omagh was attended by some twenty persons, five of whom were ladies from the Women's Institute. Omagh W.I. meet regularly in the dining room in the Masonic Hall and the ladies responded positively to an invitation to attend the training class. While heart attacks may be more common among men, women also suffer and the ladies greatly appreciated that the fact that the hall had acquired an AED and that they had been invited to the training session.
