Cheque Presentation

On Friday 13th September 2019 Harmony Lodge 586 held their annual Worshipful Masters Charity BBQ and "Night at the Races". The superstitious day of the 13th held no fears and proved to one of the best attended for many years with the brethren, their friends and family giving very generously to charity. The BBQ was top rate and the weather produced the best day of the week, making it a wonderful evening of entertainment and charity giving.

The lodge raised enough money to donate £1000 to Crohn's and Colitis UK. The attached photograph records that this money has already been presented to the charity. This charity was agreed as our Worshipful Master's brother has suffered for a long time. We were also able to donate £1000 to Multiple Sclerosis UK (MS) as the wife of our PM, Worshipful Brother Russell Masterson, has been recently diagnosed with the illness.

W. Bro. Russell

W. Bro. Russell is competing in the London Marathon again this year and as the photograph shows will be running for MS. This money will be shortly donated to his "Just Giving" page ensuring gift aid. The lodge was also able to donate almost another £1000 between the GM 2020 appeal, the T&F Benevolent Fund, the Victoria Jubilee Fund, TLC and the Lodge widows.

This magnificent amount raised allows us to donate generously and we thank everyone for the concerted effort in raising such a grand sum for all the charities and wish them all ongoing success.
